ROV Technician

Job Description

As an ROV Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overall reliability of Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) systems. You will ensure that all ROV equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the company's operational standards during both offshore and onshore operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on ROV systems.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.

  • Prepare ROV systems prior to mobilization and ensure all equipment is fully operational.

  • Carry out installation, commissioning, and testing of ROV equipment.

  • Operate workshop equipment to repair and maintain ROV components.

  • Prepare maintenance reports, service records, and spare parts inventory documentation.

  • Coordinate with the ROV Supervisor, ROV Pilot, and Project Manager throughout project execution.

  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with HSE standards, company policies, and operational procedures.

  • Be willing to work on a rotational schedule for both offshore and onshore projects as required.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an ROV Technician, Electrical Technician, Instrument Technician, or in a similar technical role.

  • Experience in the offshore, oil & gas, marine, or subsea industry is highly preferred.

  • Fresh graduates with internship or practical experience in ROV operations are welcome to apply for Junior ROV Technician positions.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following systems and equipment will be given preference:

  • Work Class ROV

  • Observation ROV

  • Tether Management System (TMS)

  • Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU)

  • Launch and Recovery System (LARS)

ROV Supervisor

Job Description

As an ROV Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and supervising all ROV operations during offshore and onshore projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to manage personnel, equipment, and project execution under demanding operational conditions.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all ROV operations during project execution.
  • Lead and manage the ROV team, including ROV Pilots, Technicians, and support personnel.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of offshore and onshore operations.
  • Plan daily ROV activities and allocate personnel and equipment resources effectively.
  • Conduct pre-job meetings, toolbox talks, and operational risk assessments.
  • Monitor ROV system performance and oversee troubleshooting and technical support.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is completed in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Review project procedures, work scopes, and client specifications before mobilization.
  • Prepare daily operational reports, maintenance reports, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Offshore Managers, Vessel Masters, Clients, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, company procedures, and client requirements.
  • Support project planning, mobilization, demobilization, and equipment readiness.
  • Mentor and develop junior ROV personnel to improve technical competency and operational performance.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in ROV operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role or as Senior ROV Pilot/Technician.
  • Proven experience leading offshore ROV operations.
  • Experience in offshore oil & gas, marine construction, renewable energy, or subsea projects is highly preferred.

  • Job Description

    As an ROV Pilot, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) during offshore and onshore projects. You will perform piloting, navigation, underwater inspection, intervention, and survey operations while ensuring compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and international safety standards.


    Responsibilities

    • Operate Work Class and Observation ROVs during offshore and onshore operations.
    • Perform underwater inspections, intervention, survey, and construction support activities.
    • Pilot the ROV safely while maintaining precise vehicle control in various underwater conditions.
    • Conduct pre-dive and post-dive equipment inspections.
    • Monitor and operate all ROV systems, including cameras, manipulators, sonar, navigation, and tooling.
    • Coordinate closely with the ROV Supervisor, Technicians, Project Manager, and vessel personnel.
    • Maintain accurate dive logs, operational reports, and video documentation.
    • Assist with mobilization, demobilization, equipment setup, and system testing.
    • Support routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of ROV systems.
    • Ensure all operations comply with HSE regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.

    Qualifications
